Help with Ribbonside

Use this page for account help, subscription questions, privacy requests, or app support. You can also report a problem from inside the app.

Contact

We aim to reply within two business days. This inbox is not monitored 24/7.

When you email support or submit an in-app support issue, Ribbonside collects the details you provide, your contact details, and limited account/app context needed to respond, investigate, secure the service, and keep support records. Please do not include Medicare numbers, medical record numbers, full reports, or highly identifying health details unless they are genuinely needed for the support issue.

Sign in, PIN, and device lock

Ribbonside uses the secure sign-in option provided for each platform. On iPhone, use Sign in with Apple. On Android, use Google sign-in. If you need help accessing an account created through another sign-in provider, contact support before creating a new account. If PIN, Face ID, biometric unlock, or device passcode access is not working as expected, contact support with your device model and app version.

Subscriptions and refunds

Your Ribbonside subscription is billed through Apple App Store or Google Play, depending on where you subscribed. To cancel, use the subscription settings for that store. Apple refund requests are handled through reportaproblem.apple.com; Google Play refund requests are handled through Google Play support.

Account deletion and data

You can delete your account or erase the local health vault from the app's Account area. If you no longer have access to the app, use the account deletion page. Deleting the app or account does not automatically cancel an Apple App Store or Google Play subscription.

Private records on your device

Core health records, photos and documents you add are stored only on your device in Ribbonside's encrypted local vault. Ribbonside does not currently provide automatic backup or restore. Export your records regularly and save them somewhere outside your phone.

What happens if I lose or replace my phone?

Signing back into Ribbonside restores your account and subscription access, but it does not currently restore health records stored in the local vault. Before changing, resetting or replacing your phone, use Export Data (JSON), which is available to every signed-in Ribbonside account. With an active Ribbonside subscription, you can also create a Share Records PDF. Save the files securely somewhere outside your phone.

How do I keep a separate copy of my records?

In Ribbonside, open Account, then Privacy & Your Data. Export Data (JSON) is available to every signed-in Ribbonside account and includes raw records and available photo and document attachment data, subject to safety and size limits. Share Records PDF is a readable summary available with an active Ribbonside subscription. Photo and document files are listed but are not embedded in the PDF. Save the files somewhere outside your phone. Neither export can currently be imported back into Ribbonside.

Is backup and restore planned?

Yes. Ribbonside is planning a user-controlled encrypted backup and restore feature. Until it is released and confirmed available in the app, continue exporting your records regularly.

Privacy and security requests

For privacy questions, access requests, correction requests, or security concerns, email support and include enough detail for us to identify your account. You can also read the security and data storage briefing. Please do not include Medicare numbers, medical record numbers, full reports, or highly identifying health details unless they are genuinely needed for the issue.

Apple Health on iPhone

Apple Health is available through Ribbonside on iPhone only. Ribbonside reads Apple Health data only if you allow it, and you can change or revoke access in iPhone Settings.

What does this mean?

Your Ribbonside subscription includes up to 3 What does this mean? explanations per day, capped at 10 explanations per month. The feature is optional and provides general plain-English explanations. Do not enter names, Medicare numbers, medical record numbers, or full clinical reports.

Accessibility

If any part of Ribbonside is hard to use with your device settings or assistive technology, email support with your device, browser if relevant, and what happened.
